Valentines Day is Almost Upon Us!

So, 14th February is Valentines Day. If your thinking about preparing a sexy surprise for your the one you love, we at Fancy Dress Party Ideas stock a super range of saucy stuff to make his/her day!
A bit of history first. Apparently, Valentines Day began as a celebration of Saint Valentine, who was imprisoned during the Roman Ages for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry (sexy, eh). Now, whilst locked up, he is said to have healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius. Legend states that before his execution (a bit harsh, don't you think?) he wrote a note to her reading "from your Valentine" as a farewell.
It was during the 15th Century when the romanticism of it all began to explode. People began to express their love by presenting flowers, confectionery and gift cards to each other!
In these modern times people still send flowers and gifts, but as an addition, they like to dress up and surprise each other with saucy costumes.
